Higher Rung was founded by Allie Cohen, an award-winning digital native with a substantial background and proven track record in the entertainment industry. She brings nearly a decade of marketing and social media experience – including successful campaign execution at Universal Music Group for Pearl Jam and other artists – with many of those years specifically devoted to influencer marketing that delivers results for both for-profit and non-profit clients.
THE MARKET
I can tell you exactly where I was when I watched the USWNT win the 2019 World Cup. Like many fans, the team's push for equal pay and women's rights resonated with me as a young woman in the early stages of her career. It's been years since that match was played and yet, those feelings and memories I had watching the game have stayed with me almost like it was just yesterday when we saw Rose Lavelle sprint her way down the pitch and find the back of the net with her shot on goal to seal the game.

So, why did I start Higher Rung? Simple. I want to amplify women's sports and raise awareness for all the awesome things that happen in this industry, and bring it far beyond the realm of just those "in the know." Avid women’s sports fans engage – they attend games, watch content online, and buy merchandise. The depth for dedicated fans is already present and strong. With the exponential growth of women’s sports, now is the time to pivot and reach for greater breadth. Leagues, teams, and other stakeholders must focus on expanding overall reach and awareness beyond their current fan base.
